The BLX/Orrick Workshop offers timely discussions of topics related to post-issuance compliance and tax law for the public finance and 501(c)(3) communities who borrow on a tax-exempt basis. With open forums allowing for attendee participation, BLX and Orrick professionals will lead the program and assist participants with understanding the IRS and SEC regulations and requirements relating to tax-exempt debt. The sessions allow for audience participation and address questions from participants relating to real life situations. In addition, Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP (“Orrick”), a bond counsel and public finance law firm, and the parent firm of BLX, will add its knowledge to the Workshop presentations and discussions. Orrick partners Richard Chirls, Ed Oswald, and Larry Sobel, whose combined experience encompasses thousands of public finance transactions and includes almost every type of project financed with tax-exempt debt, will play a large role at the Workshop.

Refunds, Cancellation and Concerns

Requests to refund registration fees must be received in writing by September 27th, 2018, and will be subject to a $100 cancellation fee. No refunds will be granted after September 27th. Refunds or cancellations of hotel bookings need to be requested from the Vdara Hotel and Spa, and are subject to their policies.

Recommended CPE Credit

Earn up to 14 CPE credits: This is a basic level course. There are no prerequisites and no advance preparation is required. Delivery method: Group-live. Field of Study: Taxes.
